Yet again it has been some time that I entered some new images on my blog. I have had some lovely babies in the studio, as well as beautiful pregnant ladies and, of course, many vibrant toddlers!
But this blog entry is something new for 2012.
My mission is to help you celebrate every stage of your life and this also includes photographs of yourself, for yourself, for your partner and children and for your parents. Everyone cherishes a portrait of their loved ones.
We go through so many stages in our life and it’s always worth to dedicate some time to get your portrait taken. Capture this moment of your life. This is an amazing memory for yourself and everyone you love.
Choose your favorite outfits, from elegant to casual. Get your make-up and hair done by my professional make-up artist Marina. It will be a fun session with ever so stunning results!
I trust the art of simplicity to create images with strong impact. This is about you and the focus will be on you by choosing a suitable background or outdoor location of your preference. Contact me to arrange for a meeting to find out more about my portrait sessions.
In the meantime check out these amazing (and inspiring!) portraits of Maryna:

What a fantastic session – I look forward to creating some great wall art from these photos for you!

Lovely Lena was at the studio recently. At 38 weeks pregnant she was just amazing to be photographed. Whether portrait with classic black clothes, casual in jeans or a strong colour fabric, she always looked ever so elegant and radiant.
This is such a unique time of our life and once captured it will always remain in our memories.

Maternity sessions don’t always have to be in the studio. Isabel and Hardy are not from Cyprus and apart from the elegant studio images I took of Isabel a few weeks ago they also wished to have a nice memory of their time here.
So we went to the old town and walked along the narrow roads stopping here and there for some photos. And, of course, their dog is part of the family and was always happy to collaborate!
There are many lovely locations suitable for maternity photos, such as parks, the beach, the old town or your very own home. Let’s be creative and make your photo session unique.
Here are just a few of the many lovely photos I took of the 3, ups, 4 I mean!

I would like to show another example of the highest quality analogue albums you can find in Cyprus.
With its personalised cover, your choice of colour, edges and paper your christening album is truly unique. The choices are yours and there are so many beautiful to choose from.
This is the most recent album I designed. Very elegant with the ivory cover and blocking in the corner. The pages are also ivory and have silver metal corners for protection:

I had lovely Isabel in the studio a couple of weeks ago and portrait her at 29 weeks of pregnancy. As most of you probably already know, maternity sessions are amongst my favorite sessions, so I thought I write a few lines about my way of working when I portrait a pregnant lady.
My idea of fine art photography in general is photographing without, or little, props. Just feelings. The portrait is about the person in it and I wish to focus on their personality and feelings when looking through the lens.
There are many different moments in pregnancy, quiet ones, fun ones and many more. Every one of those moments is beautiful and I’d like to capture this during my maternity sessions.
Light and shadow in a maternity photography session is ever so important to create the right mood. My images always vary from informal to fun portraits and dramatic poses enhanced by creative lighting techniques.
I’d always like to meet with you before the session so we can talk about your expectations, see many examples of my past maternity sessions and discuss outfits, hairstyle, make-up and studio set-up. This way we are both well prepared and you will get the most out of your maternity session.
It’s so beautiful to create memories for a lifetime starting from when you are expecting your first baby. Once the baby is born I recommend to return for a newborn photo session within the first 4 weeks of your newborn baby’s life to capture the most emotional, incredible and tender newborn baby portraits.
Please give me a call or email me for any further information about maternity sessions or any other photo sessions I offer. I look forward to hearing from you!
I wish you all a very happy Christmas and great start in the New Year! But most important health and happiness.

A delight to photograph this very cute little 2 year old girl, called Sophia. We managed to portrait her in so many different outfits and changing her hair style and she enjoyed the session right through to the end.
Having such a vibrant toddler in the studio is always a challenge and I loved capturing her natural laugh, the thoughtful look, the hesitant smile and looking through my lens seeing this ever so sweet, angelic face:

I look forward to seeing you soon again at the kindergarden!

These are some of the many lovely images of Marilena, Pierantonio, Artemis and the twins Aristodemos & Constantonis taken in the studio several weeks ago. Always a great experience to photograph twins and those two were so cute and from the start to the end in a good mood enjoying every minute of the attention they received:

Another fun filled and exciting portrait session at my studio; this time I took a series of lovely images of fellow photographer Ileana Philippides and her adorable kids.
Everyone of my portrait sessions is unique and we get a great variety of images by changing clothes, set-up and background. I aim for the ever so important family portrait as well as capturing tender moments between siblings and single portraits that bring out the child’s personality.
I see child art photography as an expression and revelation of your child’s true nature. To capture this we require three things: time, patience and fun! My sessions usually last between 2-2.5 hours allowing enough time for the child to become comfortable in the new environment, for small breaks, change of clothes and hairstyle and for choosing the suitable prop. I have a selection of chairs, cushions, blankets and toys available, however I do also encourage to bring along personal items to make the photo session even more unique.
The connection between Ileana’s children is beautifully shown through the power of black&white photography, whereas a colourful outfit shines in colour photography.
The power of a seamless black background is amazing and when you come to my studio you will see examples of large wall art where I used this background. The focus is exclusively on the child and particularly extreme close-ups are ever so strong.
I very much look forward to the year 2012 and having lots of more opportunities to portrait families!
