SWPP Photography Workshop Cyprus

I had the great opportunity to portrait stunning British model Tanya during a recent photography workshop here in Cyprus, organised by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers in collaboration with the British Photographer John Denton John Denton Photography.

Being a mix of fashion and bridal shoot we experimented in how to successfully pose the subject, light her with flash on location, or take advantage of the great natural light Cyprus offers, which for me, personally, is always a very creative option when shooting people in an outdoor environment.

Photography is about light or better described as “Painting with Light” and there is always room for us photographers to increase our expertise in this field !

Contemporary Wedding Albums

These are some images of one of the latest wedding albums I designed.

It’s a very popular “Contursi Album” with its simple but very contemporary design and classic look that appeals to all customers.

The majority of my albums are personally designed to suit the customer’s taste and quantity and size of photographs. All albums are available as analogue or digital albums and many different cover and page colours.

The stitching is elegant, the spine unique, the quality outstanding.

These albums are suitable for weddings, christenings and portrait sessions of any kind.

Metal corners protect the edges from bending.

Personalised blocking on the cover of the album available,

Thick and therefore rigid pages, each photograph is protected by an overlay, nicely framed for the most elegant look.

The album opens flat for easy viewing.

Choose anything from 1-4 photographs per page.

These are albums that guarantee to last a lifetime and longer. I cannot recommend them highly enough, truly beautiful!

Creativity

Stavros & Nancy

Their wedding day is getting closer!

These are a couple of their favorite images from the pre-wedding photo session a few weeks ago.

I would like to show them to you as Stavros and Nancy had this fabulous idea of combining colour and black&white in one image. Very stylish and creative!

Creativity and uniqueness is very important in photography. There is so much you can do with your images.

Next step is to present your favorite images in the most suitable way. And there are lots of solutions, starting from framing, mounting on wood or printing on canvas.

I’m always more than happy to give advice :-)

These are some examples from my most recent promotion at Tigadoo, Nicosia.

3 hours of photographing many many amazing kids dressed beautifully!

It was a great pleasure, lots of fun and I can’t wait to see you all again soon :-)

The following images are a small selection of the hundreds of photos I took last Saturday. Some of them are presented as a collage, others ‘framed’ by themselves. Call me if you wish to discuss displaying solutions. There are many great ways to frame or mount the photos of your children.

Kids Portraiture at Tigadoo

December 14, 2010

Last Saturday morning Tigadoo, a family run business in Nicosia, selling natural and ecological toys, clothes and accessories for babies, toddlers and young children, held a cocktail to celebrate the opening of their new store in Engomi.

There is a wonderful space upstairs, which I could use to set up a studio and run a promotion for my own business photographing the visitors beautiful children. What a fantastic opportunity this has been :-) Not only did I get the chance to portrait lots of stunning children, but I also met many nice people.

Thank you Tigadoo for this great collaboration! Let’s repeat it :-)
