FAQ

Where is your studio located?

I work from a home- based studio in the neighborhood of Engomi. Please email me if you require a map.

Why do you prefer to have your studio at home rather than on a busy shopping road?

As I am self employed I decided to work from home creating a large studio space in a comfortable, private environment. There is a lounge area where I sit down with my clients to view the images of their photo session and look at the selection of albums and other products available. Especially for newborn sessions it is very important to have a couch area for feeding and space to change the baby.

Should a portrait session always be held in your studio?

This is totally up to you. I am also available to do a session at your own home or an outdoor location of your choice, such as a nearby park. If you wish to do a portrait session at the beach, please contact me directly and I am happy to discuss this option.

What is the best age to photograph newborns?

Could you come straight to my studio from the hospital? :-) The ideal age is really the first week of age, up to 10 days. Babies are still very sleepy and easier to curl into some amazing positions. Baby acne usually starts at around the third week onwards. So best before or once it has cleared reasonably.

What kind of props do you use to photograph newborns?

Anything where I can place a baby comfortably in, such as baskets, trays, beds, bowls, beanbags etc.. For wrapping I use soft fabrics, shawls or a cloth. I also have a selection of small toys that can be placed in the image with the baby. Feel free to bring along anything you wish to see in the image with your baby!

Are the digital negatives available for purchase?

Yes they are.  Some selected packages (portrait, wedding and christening) include the digital files on CD in high resolution. Otherwise they can always be purchased in addition to a smaller package.
