On Stage
When emotions play live
Whether it’s a concert, a ballet or a theatre piece, a live show is a kind of magic in which art meets the emotions that the audience expresses and feels. Turning these events into images can be a very demanding task, but it’s one of the challenges I cherish the most and in which I have the most experience as a professional. One of my great passions, besides documenting the events themselves, is taking pictures backstage. With a silent but attentive eye, I become a privileged spectator who’s allowed to take part in every step of a performance and share in the efforts of dancers and actors. My method, both in rehearsal and during the show, is to make my presence as unobtrusive as possible, without using the flash, while taking action shots of the highest quality. I guarantee that the resolution of the images is sufficient to produce very large prints.
If your event requires it, I am available to shoot an opening or closing gala, with reporter-style photographs or group portraits of both guests and audience.

BALLET AND DANCE
Shooting a classical, contemporary or modern dance performance means creating images that preserve the gracefulness of the movement and the balance of each step. Like a classical ballerina, as a photographer I have learned to move on tip-toe in order to capture the most poignant moments of a performance with discretion and candour, and create photo shoots that are both emotionally intense and highly sophisticated.
DRAMA
Drama is a unique combination of words, expressions, gestures and backdrops which a photo shoot must be able to synthesise by observing every scene as the most thoughtful and attentive spectator. I have a great deal of experience in this area, having worked as a still photographer for many important shows and companies. My work has been featured in brochures, publications, on posters and web sites.
CONCERTS
Indoor or outdoor, whether the event is classical, pop or rock music, live concerts unleash powerful sensations. This feeling is what I strive to capture in my concert photo shoots: the unique atmosphere that is created between the musicians and the audience, in a gradual manner, and that I am able to transform in almost perfect shots, resulting in a recreation of all the vitality of live performance.
